National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences Ngaoundére
ENSAI, The National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences, is the premier institution of the University of Ngaoundére. Created by the prssidential decree in 1982 unnder the name ENSIAAC, the school involved to become ENSAI in 1983 following the reorganization of higher education in Cameroon.
- From the academic view point:
the training of highly qualified engineers with a mastery of industrial techniques in process maintenance and production engineering as well as in Industrial chemistry and environmental engineering; the specialization of engineers in all techniques of agro-industries;
- From the reseach viewpoint: The promotion of research in industrial techniques and in agro-food Industries
- From the view point of relationship with Industry: Continue education for different levels of personnel in the industry, contribution to the national development process especially through consultancy services

4- Training Programmes
Training of engineering for agro-based industries for Maintenance and Production engineering is a three year course which ends with the award of an M.Eng degree. The minimum entry qualification is an HND or a first degree in an area related to the chosen training programme
Courses and research leading to the award of the M.Sc degree in Food Sciences and Technology, Food Sciences and Nutrition, Food Biotechnology, Process engineering, Industrial chemistry and Environment, maintenance etc are offered. The programme has duration of 24 months and the minimum admission qualification is a B.Sc Degree. Courses leading to the award of a professionnal masters degree are also offered in the following areas: Quality control and management, applied Nutrition, Industrial Security and Environmental management, System and Network Management (TIC), Minimum entry qualification (TIC). Minimum entry qualification is a good first degree certificate.
Ph.D. programme Admission into the Ph. D programme is opened to holders of a DEA or M.Sc degree
5- Admission Procedures
Admission into the engineering cycle is through either a written competitive entrance examination or through a written application in for candidates presented by organisations or those living outside of Cameroon.
The yearly tuition fees for students admitted through the competitive entrance examiniation is 50,000 Fcfa while thay for students admitted by application is one millions francs
Candidates nust be holders of at least an HND, first degree or its equivalent
Admission for Post Graduate training is through a dully filled in application form available on request.
6- Duration of studies
Engineering courses normally last for 36 months including the industrial training component
Post Graduate: 3-5 years after M.Sc
Graduates from the engineering school have the competence to work as production engineers, Quality Control managers, plants managers, Head of production, Consultants, Maintenance engineers, Head of projects, Teachers, researchers, etc
